On rare occasion, I do get some down time when traveling for work. This gives me a great opportunity to see some of the sites.
The 1st picture attached is one that was taken with a local military cadet that was enjoying a leisure Sunday afternoon at the Great Wall. This location of the Wall is at a place called Badaling. Construction on the Wall began in the 7th century BC and stretches for 5000km inland form the sea. I have been to the Wall 3 times and everytime it has been windy & cold.
The 2nd picture is taken at Tiannamen Square & The Forbidden City of the Ming & Qing Dynasty. It was constructed in 1406 and stood in power for 500 years. It has over 9000 halls & rooms. In the day it was a palace surrounded by a moat & fortification.
These are probably 2 of the most famous or recongizable places in China.
