More of Shanghai

While my mom is visiting our family here in Shanghai we have taken the opportunity to experience more of the sites and people of Shanghai. For the bulk of this blog, I'll let the pictures do the talking. First, we visited a street called Dong Tai Lu. This street is lined with many shops selling "antique type" things. If you know my mom, you know she was in heaven!
You find just about anything that has anything to do with Chinese art, history, or lore in addition to various sizes of Buddha's and statues of all kinds....and the prices are cheap! We then visited the Jinan Temple. This Buddhist temple is located in the heart of Shanghai as you can see by the picture below with the modern building over-powering and providing a contrast to the old style temple. As with any day you must enjoy a good lunch. On this day, we ate at our favorite Vietnamese restaurant -Bam-bou. Always the freshest...and always the best.
Until next time...peace and serenity to you. ;)
